Caroline Pearson

Hello, I’m Caroline – Complementary Therapist and Manager at Tiger Health Spa. I recently moved back to Wales and returned to the Spa, having spent the last four years working within the NHS as a Complementary Therapist.

I studied the BSc (Hons) in Complementary Therapies at Cardiff Metropolitan University during which I qualified in holistic massage, Reflexology and clinical Aromatherapy. During this time I was also working at Tiger Health Spa as a trainee to gain experience. I soon realised I wanted to specialise and work to provide treatments for people with acute and chronic illnesses. I undertook additional training in massage and aromatherapy in cancer, dementia and palliative care contexts.

Upon graduating I secured a job as Complementary Therapies Co-ordinator at the George Eliot Hospital and Mary Ann Evans Hospice in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. This role involved providing treatments for patients with cancer and life limiting illnesses. Through my experience I have developed a deep appreciation of the value of Complementary Therapies in helping to support patients throughout the course of their illnesses.

From my work in Nuneaton I was invited to teach a series of workshops in China on the use of aromatherapy massage in cancer care and the benefits of massage for the elderly.
Upon returning to the Spa I hope to use my knowledge and experience to develop a Complementary Therapy cancer service for patients and carers. Many spas are hesitant to treat people with a diagnosis of cancer and life limiting illnesses however, when applied appropriately by a properly trained therapist Complementary Therapies can have a powerful effect on a person’s wellbeing and quality of life.

I am happy to be back in Cardiff and proud to return to Tiger Health Spa as Manager. It is a fantastic place to work. All our therapists are dedicated, passionate and strive to ensure the best quality of treatments in a friendly, relaxed environment.

I look forward to meeting and treating you at the spa.

Gill Sims-Williams

Hi there, I’m Gill, Senior Therapist at Tiger Health Spa. I came to Holistics a little later in life after spending most of my life in Marketing, Events and PR. I went back to College at 40 and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

I love all the therapies that I’m trained in but have a special love of Reflexology, Sports Therapy and Aromatherapy. I trained for an extra year in advanced techniques in Reflexology and it’s remained a real passion. Reflexology it’s amazing for relaxation and for helping stress levels.

My Sports Therapy training gave me valuable extra skills in dealing with clients’ troublesome backs (I love a knotty or tight back!). There’s nothing better than helping a client leave the spa feeling more flexible or in less pain than when they walked in. I’m also a qualified Aerobics/Fitness teacher, so the stretching techniques I used to teach can also be applied to our Clients and their tight muscles!

Aromatherapy is another passion of mine. The essential oils are so special, many people don’t realise the powerful effect essential oils can have. It’s not just about the wonderful aromas of each individual oil, they each have their own properties that again can have such a powerful effect on the body and mind. I am also a qualified Reiki practioner and along with offering Reiki sessions, I always endeavour to incorporate Reiki within my treatments, especially Reflexology and aromatherapy.

Tiger Health Spa is a special place, we all care about the clients we treat and get to know. Your wellbeing is the most important thing to us, and if we can help with the stresses of everyday living, even in a small way - then we’ve done our job well.

Caroline Carter

Hello there, my name is Caroline Carter and I am a Holistic and Beauty Therapist at Tiger Health Spa. I become a therapist in my mid twenties, having previously worked in the health care service. I decided it was time for an adventure and changed my career to become a therapist. To this day I can say it was one of the best decisions I have made as I love what I do.

I studied as a Complementary and Beauty therapist at Ystrad Myach College where I was able to gain experience and knowledge, treating various different types of clients. I found that I had a passion for massage and loved to help clients feel completely relaxed.

During my last year in college I worked in the Vale Spa where I was able to gain new skills and techniques. I was also trained to be able to perform pregnancy massage and gel manicures.

Whilst working at the Vale I have met a variety of clients including sports fanatics and athletes. This inspired me to branch out and train as a Sports Massage Therapist. I did this with the Cardiff and Vale College as it had a great reputation and great facilities. Whilst studying I was able to practice my newly incorporated skills on the under twenty five’s Cardiff Blues rugby team.

Working at Tiger Health Spa I have now been trained in CACI, detox and four hand massage. These are all very unique treatments that encourage you to completely relax and can deliver wonderful benefits to your overall health and wellbeing.

Here at Tiger Spa we provide a great range of treatments to suit everyone's needs. It’s the perfect place to come and relax, unwind and feel at home. We like to ensure that everyone leaves having felt great benefit from being here.

I will hopefully see you at the Spa soon.

Emma Radclyffe

Hello, I'm Emma. I am a Holistic and Beauty Therapist and the newest member of the Tiger Team. I trained at Ystrad Mynach College and qualified in Holistic and Beauty Therapy and have gained 10 years experience in the industry, within both spa and salon. I don't have a favourite treatment as I enjoy everything I do, but I do specialise in Brazilian/Hollywood waxing and deep tissue massage.

I love coming into work and knowing that every day is going to be different. I am eager to start my training in CACI non surgical face and body lift treatments shortly, and learning all about this cutting edge, non invasive treatment to target the signs of aging.

I look forward to meeting and treating you at the Spa.
